Our Approach

Welcome to Peakview Sport and Spine! Here you can learn about our unique approach to serving YOU.

Peakview Sport and Spine:
Our Mission

Peakview Sport and Spine's vision is to treat you as a whole patient-- mind and body-- in a way that considers your present health as well as your future goals.

Peakview Sport and Spine's Unique Approach

Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach to chiropractic, you need a personalized plan for total health.

Whether your goals are comfort-based (pain relief), function-based, or performance-based (sport applications)...

...or if you need a combination of the three...

...we'll cooperate with you to design the ideal, custom tailored treatment plan.

Rather than making you dependent on the next adjustment to keep you going, we want to graduate from chiropractic "urgent care"... to a preventive mode.

That way, you can save your body a lot of stress...  save your pocketbook a lot of damage...

...and make your adjusments easier, longer lasting, and long-term effective.

Our Story

"Dr. Tim's" Story -in his own words

The journey to the vision that is now Peakview Sport and Spine was a long and challenging road.

I was a hotshot collegiate basketball player and like many young athletes, thought I was indestructible.

That is, until I noticed persistent knee issues cropping up and wrecking my game. This was 1997.

So then my buddy Quincy referrred me to a doc named Brad, who treated the neuromuscular part of my problem.

When Dr. Brad finished with me, I felt a lot better, but not 100%. Brad says, "Okay now you need to see Dr. Karen to get adjusted."

"Get adjusted?" I thought. What in the world is 'adjusted'? Well, Dr. Karen was a chiropractor...

After she finished with me, I couldn't believe how much better I felt, and how much better I could play.

So after I got out of the Navy, guess what I wanted to become? A neuromuscular therapist... and when I got licensed I actually went to work for Dr. Karen.

Fast-forward a few years. I keep doing neuromuscular therapy for patients, and Dr. Karen keeps doing chiropractic. After all, that's what I needed to feel and function better. BOTH sides of the coin, as they say.

But I couldn't shake the feeling that we (Dr. Karen and I) each had only one part of the necessary picture. She treated bones and joints; I worked on the muscles and nerves.

Both skills were necessary for total healing, but you needed two different specialists to get anywhere. I thought, "Why not be trained in the whole enchilada?"

During the ten years of school for chiropractic, I continued to work for a physical therapist for ten years.

That gave me both the book-learnin' 🙂 and hands-on experience at the same time.

I had a vision of the kind of chiropractor I wanted to be: able to help with all the systems of the body that control movement.

Because life can be spent doing the same old things... or in learning new things... I decided to give that a shot.

Turns out old jocks can learn new tricks 😉

Today, Peakview Sport and Spine is committed to helping the patient experience relief, function, ideal performance by any means necessary.

We use the ancient art of "cupping", a branch of acupuncture... as well as cutting-edge athletic technology like K-tape. You can learn more about our six major services by clicking here.
